Maddie, Speech Marking Rubric.

Reflection : In the morning my literacy class had to say our speeches. We all were waiting for this moment, We couldn’t wait. Mr Wiseman had asked if there were any volunteers that wanted to go first but then he said the house captains had to go first, Their is only two in our class and they both had the shivers so me and my friend Eleni went before them. Eleni was very confident, It was going to be a hard speech to follow. I went up, My knees felt like they were dropping, My head felt like it was about to explode. But then i took some deep breaths and realised i was in that mode. I started speaking, I felt very confident and encouraging. I went to sit down, All the nerves had gone away and i felt like i was another person.

Task description : This week in maths I was learning to convert currency and measure distance and time. I had fun organising the trip with my group. One of my highlights were that we got to learn how to stay in our budget and organise our money responsibly. One of my low lights were that it was hard staying in our budgets because all of the flights were expensive and the tickets to go to the Olympics were expensive as well.

Night Market Mystery

Scene: The Narrator was driving and saw the hitchhiker from the side of the road the narrator and the hitchhiker ends up going to the night markets but the hitchhiker has no money so he ends up pickpocketing from people at the night markets 

Narrator: ( Driving) 

Narrator: Oh who is this on the side of the road it’s pretty cold outside I should go pick him up

Narrator: Excuse me would you like a ride 

Hitchhiker: yes  please

Narrator: Come on In

( They ended up driving to the night markets ) 

Narrator:   Excuse me, can I please have  7  kebabs? 

Hitchhiker: hm , she must have a lot of money to buy 7 kebabs.

Narrator: Hey would you like anything 

Hitchhiker: uhh sure 

Narrator:  MMM okay lets go get something to eat

Hitchhiker: okay 

( goes and starts pickpocketing people)

Hitchhiker: Hey I went to the bank and got more money out

Narrator:  Ohh so you can buy me stuff now 

Hitchhiker: uhhhhh sure 

( The hitchhiker tries to steal from the Narrator but ends up getting caught )

Narrator:  Hey why are u trying to steal from me 

Hitchhiker: No im not 

Narrator: Yes you are 

Hitchhiker: No im not 

Narrator:  I just caught you tho 

Hitchhiker: That little kid was trying to steal from you.

Narrator: You can walk home by yourself

Task description: This week we have been learning about character traits and what we have gathered from this book called The hitchhiker made by Roald Dahl. We have learnt how to identify and recognise what type of emotions and traits  the character may be leaving behind so that we can describe and write about the character. This term our theme is ” KARAWHIUA give it heaps ! ” This means to give all the effort into anything you’re doing and try your best!!. Our team is looking at learning a new skill and learning how to professionally demonstrate it. I’m looking forward to this term.

During the holidays I went to tons of birthday parties and even more family events such as baby gender reveals and much more. I enjoyed hanging out with family and making a whole lot more new memories that i hold on to for a life time!!!

My goal for this term is to learn more of my timetables. The only way I will be able to do this is by focusing a lot in class and make sure that I complete this to a high standard.

Hey guyssss , Our theme for this term is Transformers which talks about acting/drama. In team 5 everybody had to choose a play they wanted to act out for inquiry. My group chose The Santa Trap for our play our characters we we’re acting out was Dylan, Michael, Tania, Sophie, Santa and Amy. We were missing one of our people so we didn’t have the best play but it was alright because we still tried our best. We found it really hard and challenging to fill in the persons part because we didn’t memorise their lines so we had to read off the paper for most of the play what we didn’t know was we didn’t have the full play we only had one part that we could read but i’m proud of my group for trying. Our Pt England Way is to always kick start the term with an immersion assembly. Today was no different Our management team started off with an introduction of the topic. Our theme is Transformers which is all about the drama. My favourite one was team 3 with their Matilda act Bobby-jon eating a piece of the mistresses chocolate cake. He had gotten caught because he burped very loud and the mistress caught so as a punishment he had to eat all the chocolate cake or he would get a different punishment so as he tried his best to eat all the cake the rest of the teachers sang a song almost like a musical. He continued to eat and as the mistress came along getting in his face and then he smudged cake all over the mistresses face ending the act off with cheers and laughter.

Task Description : i liked how we got to work together to solve these problems. I didn’t like how we had to solve them. I learnt how to quick add. Make sure to leave a positive comment on my blog.
